A consultation regarding the proposed MOT changes and updates is to be extended by three weeks according to Garage Wire.

The reason it has been extended is due to concerns that six weeks was not long enough to provide evidence of the road safety of users to the DfT.

The extra three weeks will give trade groups and businesses the time to gather additional information, ready for 22nd March 2023.

The consultation is regarding the main issue of the 4-1-1 MOT plans which could change the first MOT of a new car from 3 years to 4 years.
